
Creative Media Coordinator

The Creative Media Coordinator (CMC) will be responsible for bringing the vision of Maryland Football through innovative video and graphics. The individual will be responsible for creating weekly motivational videos and recruiting specific graphics. This individual along with the Football Video Coordinator and recruiting staff, would create and execute a weekly, monthly, and yearly creative plan to deliver the head coach’s vision. The (CMC) collaborates with the Football Video Coordinator in practice preparation, Gossett Football Team House AV maintenance along with road and bowl game setup. S/he will coordinate with Football Video Coordinator and Recruiting Staff needs for officials. This includes photo/video shoot stations and assisting with any technical needs from the staff. The CMC will also support in the hiring and training of student staff, both in coach’s video and in creative video. The person must also be able to perform other duties as assigned by the Video Coordinator, Director of Football Operations, Director of Player Personnel, and/or Head Football Coach. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will be considered. Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a multimedia environment; six (6) to (8) years without BS/BA. Experience in creative software (Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) Experience with coaches video software programs (e.g., XOX Thunder, DVSport, Hudl). Experience in operation video cameras, photography, audio recording and an understanding of collegiate athletics. Excellent communication and organizational skills in a high demand/pressure-filled environment. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, high pressure environment. Ability to comply with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University and its employees and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (the “NCAA”) and the Big Ten Conference (the “BIG10”). Ability to work non-standard hours and travel to numerous athletic and related events. Ideal candidate will have worked within a NCAA Division I football program, and/or conference office handling coaches video and post production projects. Have Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, communication, technology or related field. Experience with basic audio techniques used in on-camera interviews and in voice over situations for post-production projects. Experience choosing motivational style music that will appeal to a wide range of collegiate athletes. Ability to provide information on needed upgrades of equipment and software for budgeting purposes. |
