Provide servant leadership and staff support to LCI Practice Committee, which serves as the policy- and practice-setting body for our Communities of Practice (CoPs).
Support annual meetings (typically March, October) of our CoP leaders, including agenda development, meeting planning, etc., and development of minutes and action plans emanating from the meetings.
Support periodic Practice Committee meetings – in-person or conference calls.
Work with other staff and members to successfully execute action plans above.
Forge relationships with key points of contact within LCI Communities of Practice (CoPs) around the country (~27 markets). This will entail significant travel on an annual basis.
Ensure CoP needs are met for meetings and training programs, as well as administrative support, coordinating with LCI staff in administration and membership services.
Coordinate with manager of membership services to incorporate national seminar and webinar programming into CoP events planning as guided by CoP core group leaders.
Ensure CoPs have the training and support needed to successfully manage events through the LCI events management software program (MemberSuite).
Maintain ongoing liaison with CoPs to address needs and issues as LCI national HQ representative – travel to attend meetings as needed to function effectively in liaison role.
Support establishment of new CoPs as needed, address needs on ongoing basis, assist with arranging speakers, etc.
Support web postings/presence on LCI website in support of CoPs.

Candidates must be based in the greater DC metro area and able to commute to work in the LCI offices in north Arlington (Rosslyn), VA.
Experience in construction project work, especially in the use of Lean Construction tools and techniques, a plus.
5+ years relevant experience in membership and chapter relations in non-profit trade or professional organizations a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
