The Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) located in Alexandria, Virginia is seeking candidates for the position of Marketing and Communications Manager. This is a highly visible position that will be responsible for developing marketing campaigns for TLMI meetings, membership, and programs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable ability to develop campaigns that increase membership engagement, acquisition, and retention.
The manager will direct TLMI internal and external communications including publication of TLMI member newsletters. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for the development and management of TLMI’s website and lead its social media strategy.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, along with 5 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing for an association. Solid management, communication, and writing skills are essential along with a steep learning curve and ability to prioritize work. Candidates that can demonstrate critical thinking and creative approaches to challenges are preferred.
Degree in marketing or related field.
Five years progressively responsible experience for an Association including direct marketing, web, and social media.
Understanding of Google Analytics.
Knowledge of marketing communication principles and strategies.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Ability to execute plans, meet deadlines and budgets.
Understanding of Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
Familiarity with web content management systems.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Proficiency with Constant Contact and Word Press.
Strong management skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to assess campaign performance.
Experience in leading website development projects.
Ability to coordinate and effectively manage volunteers.
