TITLE: Development & Communications Coordinator LOCATION: Milpitas, California HOURS: Full-time, exempt COMPENSATION: $26-$28 hourly, competitive benefits, paid time off REPORTS TO: Director of Development & Communications
The Development and Communications Coordinator will support the fundraising activities of the Teen Success, Inc. Board and staff. This includes updating and maintaining the integrity of the donor database, donor communications regarding gifts and cultivation and raising awareness of Teen Success, Inc.’s mission in the community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged youth. The individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills, time-management skills, and be able to prioritize deadlines. The individual must be able to interact comfortably, respectfully and skillfully with TSI staff, board members and donors.
Daily inputting and processing of gifts
Daily processing of donor acknowledgment letters
Creation of queries and exports, inclusive of fundraising reports, mailing lists, and data files
Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events
Assist in development of direct mail solicitations, email blasts, and donor communications
Support the fundraising activities of the Teen Success, Inc. Board, fund development committee, and staff
Participate in researching new potential funding sources
Updating the organization's website and social media sites
Developing and preparing effective social marketing and engagement tools
Supporting grant writing and grant report writing
Be mission-driven and passionate about the population served
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel
Social media knowledge and experience required
Must be organized, detail-oriented, energetic, and flexible
Able to hear feedback, follow through, and make any necessary modifications to stay on track
Interest in improving performance to increase impact
Maintains a positive attitude, energizes others, and has a sense of humor
Positive attitude and willing to "roll your sleeves up" and do whatever is needed
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Two to three years related nonprofit work experience
