The Coordinator, Video Operations manages all aspects of multimedia video initiatives within the athletic department, in-house video board productions, and live-event streaming on ESPN3 and ASUN.TV.
Oversees live video streaming of Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) home games for ASUN.TV and assists with streaming for ESPN3. Manages pre- and post-game video coverage (press conferences, interviews, game highlights). Assists with most facets of FGCU's on-campus ESPN3 productions in accordance with ASUN Conference and ESPN guidelines. Oversees FGCU home broadcasts to be aired on ASUN.TV. Produces content for and directs in-game/in-event video board operations. Manages the department's official YouTube channel: FGCU Athletics. Collaborates with communications and marketing & corporate sales offices to create content for promoting FGCU's 15 Division-I teams, highlights and features, advertisements, promotions, interviews, graphics, social media video/gifs, and sponsorship fulfillment. Works in conjunction with the communication and marketing & corporate sales offices to produce content for and direct in-game/in-event productions associated with video boards and LED tables. Serves as primary contact for ESPN3 and ASUN.TV. Serves as liaison with the ASUN's Director of Broadcast Services for ESPN3 and other conference-based video initiatives. Complies with all University, ASUN Conference, or Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) regulations, as well as all NCAA rules and regulations. Remains current with all changes in NCAA, as well as changes to University, ASUN Conference and CCSA rules and regulations regarding intercollegiate athletics. This includes the requirement for self-reporting any possible rule violations. Any violation of NCAA rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization. Two years of experience in a video-production environment. Experience with 3Play systems, NewTek TriCasters, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom), and Final Cut Pro software applications.
Preferred qualifications include Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization. Two years of experience with broadcast production and in-game/in-event video board content implementation focused on sports, preferably collegiate. Experience with video hardware and software applications (Adobe Media Flash Encoder, Display Director, Edius, and non-linear editing).
