Serve as member of NCRA’s senior management team and direct the fiscal functions of the organization as well as oversee the Human Resources, IT and Administrative operations and procedures in order to meet the primary goals and objectives of NCRA.
Reports to:Executive Director & CEO
Direct the organization’s finance group, including managing the outsourced accountant team, overseeing all aspects of regulatory financial reporting, including responsibility for investments, tax returns and the annual financial audit. Manage, with complete oversight, the Administration, Headquarters and Finance budgets.
Manage the financial components of National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) and NCRA PAC.
Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Executive Director & CEO, the Board and other senior staff in performing their responsibilities.
Participate in the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan and priorities as a member of the Executive Director & CEO’s senior management team. Attend the annual conference each August.
Manage the IT function, in particular oversight and direction of the association’s IT infrastructure, outsourcing and vendor relationships as they relate to the Microsoft .NET platform and financial and accounting Microsoft Dynamics SL software.
Oversight of the Administration and Human Resources function. Administer association wide compensation system. Work with Staff Directors and an outside consultant on a continual basis to assess salary range placement of each employee. Work with compensation consultants on market adjustments and recommended changes to system. Oversee communications to staff with regard to individual salary information. Monitors employee performance planning program/bi-annual review process.
Oversee all building maintenance and renovation issues, including contracts for maintenance, cleaning services, telephone operations, copiers and fax machine purchase and maintenance and ensure appropriate association insurances (APLI, Personal Property, EDP, Umbrella, Inland Marine, etc.)
Broad association management skills as well as financial management skills, including but not limited to: strategic planning, governance, budget development, business planning, information technology, facilities, administration and human resources management.
Ability to work within tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exercise sound judgment on sensitive issues.

An ability to work effectively with volunteer committees and the Board of Directors
An ability to work effectively across department lines to ensure cooperation and integration of programs and initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
7-10 years of relevant experience, preferable with a non-profit association
CPA strongly preferred but not mandatory
5 years of working at a senior management level including working with the Board of Directors
Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential preferred
