The University of Bridgeport is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant - Athletic Trainer for the 2017-2018 academic year. UB is a member of the East Coast Conference (ECC).
The Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer must be accepted into a Graduate Program before the graduate assistantship can be offered*. The selected applicant will receive a tuition waiver for up to nine graduate credits per semester. The applicant will be responsible for the cost of any fees associated with the program. This position is renewable for the next academic year conditional upon satisfactory performance, availability of funds and adherence to all University of Bridgeport academic requirements and employment protocols. Applicants are also encouraged to apply early for licensure in the State of Connecticut by contacting the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Sport assignment will be assigned after placement. The Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer will serve as a Preceptor for two Athletic Training programs within the area. Any other duties as designated by the Director of Athletics and the Athletics Trainer.
Requirements Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and be fully admitted into one of UB's graduate programs. Acceptance into the University of Bridgeport Graduate Program. Must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 each semester. The incumbent will be required to work up to 18 hours per week during the academic school year based on the credit hours attempted.
BOC Certified and eligible for licensure in the State of Connecticut.
