The University of Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach who will be responsible for assisting the management of all phases of the varsity Women's Volleyball program. Specifically, position will:
Assist in the recruiting of quality prospective student-athletes and ensuring timely submission of academic records for admissions;
Assist with conducting regular practice sessions as permitted by NCAA rules and regulations;
Assists in coaching the team during scheduled events;
Determine and implement the strategies necessary to motivate players to maximum levels of individual and team performance;
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and compliance with applicable NCAA, Conference, University and Departmental rules and regulations;
Oversee expense control and administration of the sport's budget;
Monitor the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and supplies throughout the year;
Monitor and promote student-athlete welfare;
Know, understand, and reinforce commitment to NCAA and Big 12 rules and other responsibilities associated with being assistant coach at a Division I institution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Exceptional administrative, financial and communication skills
Ability to determine and implement strategies necessary to motivate players to maximum levels of individual and team performance
Excellent recordkeeping skills in order to oversee the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and supplies throughout the year
Ability to recruit quality prospective student-athletes and ensure timely submission of required admissions paperwork
Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree AND 24 months' experience coaching a volleyball team OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience
