The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements schedules and reports that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the controller. The Accounting Manager has strong knowledge of accounting principles, completing journal entries, maintaining ledgers, reconciling and verifying accounts, and monitoring revenue and expense accounts. This job role also involves interpreting and analyzing accounting data and financial reports and recommending action.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the monthly accounting close process.
Track and review all monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
Analyze and apply various accounting pronouncements and assist with research and resolution of technical accounting issues.
Assist in the preparation of the financial statements and related supporting information for our 10-Q’s and 10-K filings.
Oversee and review operating expenses and accrual accounts; Review and approve journal entries.
Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX compliance).
Coordinate and review Management Reports for monthly close meetings with Finance.
Act as resource and coordinator for the external auditors; Coordination of all audit and quarterly review schedules and preparation of variance analysis.
Involvement in and/or management of various projects as assigned by the Controller such as process improvements, cross-departmental initiatives, procedure documentation, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA Strongly Preferred.
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or private industry.
Proven experience as accounting manager or other similar position.
Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
Strong Analytical and communication skills.
Solid experience of accounting practice, methods and principles (GAAP).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel; ability to use Enterprise-wide information system such as Workday.
