PNP Staffing Group is helping a top nonprofit human services agency with more than 90 years of experience serving children and families looking for a Chief Financial Officer. The executive would be responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the agency in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the software industry.
-Provides administrative supervision of staff, students and volunteers. -Assures the continuing training and development of fiscal staff. -Regularly schedules meetings with staff to discuss plans, address areas of potential problems and program functioning. -Coordinates activities with appropriate liaison agencies to ensure constructive collaboration. -Develops and promotes relationships with other social service agencies and represents the program and agency in the community. -Reviews administrative documents such as reports, grants and contracts and revises as necessary to ensure they are completed in accordance with funders' requirements. -Attends all required staff meetings, program and organization activities. -Conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with the organizations Code of Ethics.
MEETINGS REQUIREMENTS -Attends Board Finance Committee Meetings and Board of Trustees Meetings as requested
PROGRAM QUALITY REQUIREMENTS -Provides leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the agency are put into practice. -Collaborates with the Executive Management Team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructme of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company. -Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the agency's fiscal function and performance. -Develops credibility for the finance staff by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the President/CEO and the Board and other senior executives in perfmming their responsibilities. -Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. -Establishes credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenge -Continually improves the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets. -Optimizes the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiates appropriate strategies to enhance cash position. -Develops a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. -Understands fiscal and employee regulations and ensures agency is in compliance. -In consultation with other executive team members, reviews Requ ests for Proposals and helps determine whether agency should apply. -Leads Agency Fiscal Audits. -Participates in all investment and real estate decisions.
-BA in Accounting or Related Field, CPA and/or MBA preferred. -At least 15 years relevant experience with increasing responsibility
