Rhodes College invites applications and nominations for the Head Field Hockey Coach and Assistant Coordinator of Athletic Facilities with outstanding leadership skills who can recruit, mentor, motivate and teach student-athletes. Guided by the Rhodes Vision, the head field hockey coach should build a sense of community and enthusiasm around the field hockey program by engaging the student body, alumni, parents and fans. Strong relational skills with internal and external constituents are critical. This position coordinates all phases of women's intercollegiate field hockey program and responsible for a secondary duty as assigned by Director of Athletics. Other duties include participating in development and fundraising activities with various constituents and/or other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. This position requires flexibility to travel and work weekends and evenings when necessary. This is a full-time 12 month position.
Bachelor's Degree required. Must have 3 years of field hockey coaching experience at the high school or college level. Must be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of people and maintain strong working relationships with students, faculty, administrative staff, alumni and parents. Must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Valid driver's license required.
