The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head Wrestling Coach. This is a full-time, twelve month position. This position is responsible for all facets of planning, organizing and leading a highly competitive Division I wrestling program. The search committee is seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications: advanced leadership skills, commitment to student-athlete welfare and personal development, ability to successfully recruit student-athletes, ability to train and coach student-athletes both on and off of the mat, organization and administrative duties, compliance with University, NCAA and Atlantic Coast Conference rules/regulations, management of coaching staff and resources, and positive collaboration with support staff. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have demonstrated ability to consistently produce highly successful, championship level wrestling teams, while maintaining high academic standards and a high level of integrity. Anticipated start date is April 1, 2017. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ coaching experience (preferably at the NCAA Division l or comparable level) are required.
