The Compliance and Student Services Assistant works under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Services. This position will assist with the oversight of the University of San Francisco Athletics Department compliance and academic services in accordance with NCAA, WCC Conference and University rules, regulations and procedures. The Compliance and Student Services Assistant is a member of the University of San Francisco Athletic Department and works cooperatively with student-athletes, coaches, athletic department staff members, and boosters to resolve and monitor compliance related issues.
• Monitor official and unofficial visits for all prospective student-athletes • Monitor contact/evaluations and phone call logs • Assist with initial eligibility and act as the liaison with the NCAA Eligibility Center • Manage and monitor with compliance related areas of ticketing • Assist in providing rules interpretations to coaches, staff and other university entities responsible for NCAA Compliance • Assist in all aspects of NCAA rules pertaining the playing and practice seasons including season declarations, and review the submission of CARA logs • Manage and monitor with the camp/clinic process and the student-athlete employment process • Assist in all aspects of rules education efforts and rules interpretations • Assist with all aspects of athletic financial aid including National Letters of Intent, Non-Renewals and Cancelations • Manage the student-athlete book scholarship program and serve as the athletic department liaison to the USF Bookstore • Assist in monitoring NCAA personnel rules • Other Duties as assigned
This position, along with all coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of the University of San Francisco Athletics Program and for the reputation of the University of San Francisco. This position is responsible for insuring that his/her involvement with Athletic Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and West Coast Conference rules and regulations.
