The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (“CFP Board”) is searching for a Marketing Specialist. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., CFP Board is the certifying body for over 76,000 financial planning professionals. It is the non-profit organization that fosters professional standards in personal financial planning through its setting and enforcement of the education, examination, experience, ethics, and other requirements for the CFP® certification.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting candidates with the certification process through thorough explanation of the process, giving examples and suggestions for overcoming obstacles to achieving certification, helping them understand the importance of certification, and timely and consistent follow-up. In partnership with other CFP Board staff, the Specialist will develop campaigns and programs to attract candidates. The Specialist will also be responsible for developing and analyzing reports regarding candidate participation and experience.
Those who have experience in developing and cultivating relationships over the phone; are able to instill confidence, persuade, and influence people; and have good time management and organizational skills should apply. Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, possess a positive attitude, and have a strong work ethic. Working knowledge of certification marketing and general direct marketing (online, email, mail, and telemarketing) highly desired. BA/BS is required.
