The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful major gift fundraising with strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively represent the interest and fundraising priorities of the college.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Development for Business and Engineering at the Oregon State University Foundation, the Director of Development position is a front-line fundraiser responsible for a major gift portfolio focused on the College of Engineering. The Director of Development is expected to devote 80% of work time to major gift fundraising activities and 20% of work time to management and administrative responsibilities.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and at least five years of major gift fundraising work experience in higher education. Comprehensive campaign experience is preferred. Education and experience equivalencies will be considered. The position also requires the possession of a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel extensively, at times with overnight stays, and by varying modes of transportation.
