Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards major gift ($25,000+) donors and prospects from College Alumni and Friends. Performs other duties as assigned.
70% - Essential - Fundraising:
Manages a dynamic pool (150 maximum) of major gift prospects and donors with capacity to make a gift ranging from $25,000 to $500,000. Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards through 15-18 face-to-face visits a month. Raises a minimum of $500,000 in year one with subsequent years' goals determined in conjunction with the Senior Director of Development. Creates and implements annual and three-year plans to increase the overall number of donors to College through personal solicitation. Increase the number and level of leadership annual donors ($5,000 to $24,999 annually).
20% - Essential - Strategic Management:
Establishes, directs, and manages the strategic development opportunities and initiatives within the College through direct collaboration with the Dean and key faculty members. Leads and manages fundraising, stewardship, and engagement activities of the Dean. Evaluates and executes collaborative opportunities with Development colleagues on joint or multi-college fundraising initiatives.
10% - Essential - Stewardship, Engagement & Collaboration: Facilitates collaboration with team members across the Development & Alumni Relations Division to increase awareness about College funding initiatives and provide assistance and connections to the College as potential donors are identified. Coordinates cultivation and stewardship events/activities related to development activities as needed for individuals within portfolio or for the College donors.
Bachelor's Degree and 1 to 5 years in higher education development or related experience in Alumni engagement, fundraising, prospect research and/or business development.
Comprehensive Job Knowledge - Comprehensive knowledge of theories and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.
Frequent day and overnight travel is required for this position - 60%
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Salary Range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000
