Northern Arizona University seeks a dynamic assistant director of development to cultivate and close major gifts ($25,000 or more) from alumni and friends of Northern Arizona University. The assistant director of development plans and directs comprehensive strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of gift prospects in support of student success initiatives, programs, and scholarships across campus. The Assistant Director of Development for Student Success will work closely with the offices of the Provost and Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA) to develop fundraising priorities related to Student Success, and to implement strategies for reaching identified goals within these priorities. The ideal candidate will have development experience, self-confidence and a strong interest in developing gifts for student success programs and scholarships. Position may be based in Phoenix or Flagstaff, Arizona.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 2-3 years of experience in professional fundraising, sales, or related experience. Ability and willingness to travel both over the road and by plane; valid driver's license. Experience developing a client and/or prospect list.
Annual Salary: Commensurate with experience.
