The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), a Washington, DC based trade association, is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for supporting financial reporting and operations. The Senior Accountant will serve integral role in providing timely analysis of budget, financial reports and financial trends. The Senior Accountant will also serve a central role in investment tracking and reporting, cash flow tracking and management, and development of annual budget and budget forecasts. The position will provide technical financial guidance to staff on the full range of financial processes, workflows, and priorities. Responsibilities also include supporting the annual audit process and other special projects as requested.
Qualified candidates will have strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be possess ability to interact effectively with a variety of constituents to ensure cooperation and integration of programs and initiatives. Candidate must possess expertise in working with Great Plains or similar software and MS Office products. A minimum of seven years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field of study, is required. A CPA and public accounting experience are highly desired.
