As the Internal Auditor in Glatfelter’s internal audit team you will be responsible for reviewing business processes over areas that contribute to significant profitability of the company and makes Glatfelter a viable competitor in the global paper industry.
Your future includes playing a lead role in the 4-person internal audit team where you will focus your work on the business processes of the organization. This role is critical in ensuring Glatfelter’s execution excellence in its global operations. You will contribute to and develop audit programs and protocols for the global organization. You will also be a main point of contact to discuss business process improvements with key business partners throughout our global organization. Other members of your team have responsibilities for IT audit and other standard internal audit protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities
Take an active role in the planning and coordination of audit assignments through the development of audit plans and strategies.
Develop audit programs using generally accepted auditing standards and the most current version of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) framework as a guide.
Conduct and document interviews to understand internal controls within selected business process cycles.
Perform compliance and substantive tests over management policies and guidelines, as well as the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
Prepare and communicate findings and conclusions by leading closing meetings with business partners and preparing the formal written audit recommendations to strengthen controls, enhance compliance with policies, better secure assets, and enhance the efficiency of operations.
Perform follow up procedures on corrective actions taken in response to prior report recommendations and observations.
Assist the Company's external auditors in their testing and evaluation of operating effectiveness of the Company’s internal controls.
Participate in special projects, such as ethics investigations and acquisition due diligence, at the direction of Internal Audit leadership.
Perform all other related and comparable duties as assigned.
Experience – 3-6 years progressive experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or internal audit experience or equivalent financial experience with a global organization
Strong knowledge of business risks and internal controls.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Effective at documenting business processes and assessing segregation of duties in an ERP environment.
CPA or CIA certification preferred.
SAP experience preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel 15—20% to site locations in Germany, France, UK and Canada.
Given periodic travel to Europe and Canada, the ability to communicate in German or French language is highly favorable, but not required.
Education – Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics.
