Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Major Gifts and Capital Campaigns within the Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC), this individual’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
• Managing a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects • Developing and implementing an annual action plan to fulfill all quantifiable work performance goals for contacts, solicitations, closed gifts and new prospects identified in order to maximize gift revenue for capital, endowment and high-end annual fund gifts • Directing, managing and establishing marketing and outreach strategies for the Jerry West Society, which is the planned giving society for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics • Assisting with the planning, organization, execution, sales and marketing strategies for premium seating opportunities • Serving as the fundraising liaison between the Mountaineer Athletic Club and up to two designated varsity sports programs • Attending WVU Athletics and MAC related events as assigned
A bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for a Master's degree. Minimum of three years of progressive development experience. Experience with intercollegiate athletics, particularly Division I experience preferred. Direct experience working with capital giving projects and donors preferred. Must have knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
