This individual will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance to develop, monitor and oversee all aspects of NCAA compliance for 19 NCAA Division I athletics programs. Responsible for acquiring, maintaining a detailed knowledge of NCAA, Conference and University Policies & Procedures, as well as implementing all policies and procedures of the department, University, Conference and NCAA. Essential tasks include, but not limited to: • Assist with the university’s continued commitment to a quality NCAA Division I compliance program that is educational, cooperative and professional in nature; • Assist to investigate infractions of NCAA rules; • Research and interpret rules for coaches, student-athletes, administrators, university staff, and other representative of athletic interest. • Continue development of a comprehensive rules education program for student-athletes, coaches, and staff; • Administer the Coaches’ Recruiting exam; • Oversee the daily monitoring of compliance procedure as required by the NCAA in areas including awards and benefits, all aspects of recruiting, camps and clinics, and playing and practice. • Attend NCAA regional rules seminars, as well as, additional education to remain current with NCAA legislation changes. • Perform related projects as assigned. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting in the education and professional development of additional compliance staff members (i.e., intern and/or graduate assistant). Candidate will be required to work all home football contests, as well as select men’s and women’s basketball contests.
