The School of Accounting in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University is accepting applications for one tenure-track faculty position at all ranks (with a preference for an experienced assistant, associate, or full professor) to begin in fall 2017. The School will consider applications for all teaching areas (with a strong preference for financial reporting) and all research areas.
Qualified candidates should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching (evidenced by positive teaching evaluations, teaching awards, etc.), a demonstrated record or potential for publishing in top-tier and sectional-level academic accounting journals, and a desire to participate in doctoral education. Solicitation of external research funding is strongly encouraged in keeping with the University’s status as a national research institution. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the School, College, and University is expected. Candidates must hold a doctorate (or must have earned a doctorate by August 2017) from an AACSB International accredited university. Professional experience or certification is strongly preferred. Salary and benefits are competitive.
Interested applicants should apply online at http://www.texastech.edu/careers using the position number 10082BR and submit (1) a letter of interest, (2) a curriculum vitae, and (3) a summary of teaching evaluations (in particular, the key “instructor effectiveness” metric) for the last three years. For additional information, please contact the chair of the faculty search committee by emailing email@example.com. Review of applications will begin immediately, and submission of applications by March 22 is preferred.
