| The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, is accepting applications for an Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations and Outbound Sales. The Assistant Athletic Director will have responsibility for leading and managing all athletic ticket office operations, ticket sales and customer service strategies for the ticket office and the outbound ticket sales center. The Assistant Athletic Director must be able to generate revenue and increase attendance at Citadel athletic events through the sale of season tickets, individual game tickets and group ticket packages. |
Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations, the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations and Outbound Sales will be an integral part of the external operations team and the athletic department’s senior staff. The Assistant Athletic Director will supervise two full-time ticket office and outbound sales employees, a team of account representatives primarily comprised of student interns seeking ticket operations and sales experience, and game-day ticketing and sales staff.
Revenue generated from The Citadel’s athletic ticket sales is nearly $1million annually and the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations and Outbound Sales is expected to be a high-performance sales position. The Assistant Athletic Director will be expected to achieve revenue goals that are established by the Athletic Director and the Senior Associate Athletic Director.
The Assistant Athletic Director will also be responsible for directing the operations and administration of the ticket office and sales staff, development of sales and solicitation action plans, and strategic goal setting. Responsible for tracking all measurable data, including but not limited to calls made, tickets sold, and revenue generated. Maintain accurate database records through the use of Salesforce CRM and other methods. Will be required to research trends and sales opportunities and follow through on those opportunities. Will develop leads and assist sales team with sales opportunities.
The Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations and Outbound Sales must also be skilled and experienced at managing all aspects of an athletic ticket office and athletic ticket operations. The Assistant Athletic Director will be expected to train, lead and manage ticket office and outbound sales staff, and ensure all ticket office operations, transactions, record keeping, and reports are accurate and on-time. Managing the scheduling of staff, to include athletic events held on nights and weekends, is also expected. The Assistant Athletic Director and staff under his/her supervision must also follow guidelines about confidentiality of data, NCAA compliance, PCI compliance and institutional compliance.
