| The position of Director of Football External Relations will be responsible for developing and implementing a social medial strategy and plan in promoting the Oregon football program with the focus on recruiting football student-athletes. |
Responsible for coordinating, creating, implementing and maintain graphic elements and video production though numerous social media platforms required for football recruiting in conjunction with the department’s communications, marketing and compliance offices.
This position will report to the Head Football Coach.
Responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Pac-12 conference and the NCAA.
Responsible for the growth and development of influential media platforms as well as the enhancement of new social media trends and opportunities in situating the Oregon football program in the optimal position to recruit and sign elite student-athletes to letters of intent.
In conjunction with the football coaching and recruiting staffs, target specific high school student-athletes through social media to enhance the highlights of the Oregon football program. Working within the NCAA recruiting guidelines, responsible for specifically designing and implementing a social media “recruiting blitz” for these student-athletes.
Produce recruiting graphics for individual perspective student-athletes for use during recruiting visits and the announcement of scholarship acceptance. Focus on creating personalized recruiting graphics with great attention to detail. Create graphics promoting campus, coaching staff and University.
Manage the Oregon’s football social media accounts and continue to enhance the program’s digital strategy, while working in conjunction with the department’s communications, marketing and compliance offices.
Independently make decisions for the creative development and implementation of social media marketing and branding initiatives surrounding the recruiting efforts of the Oregon football program.
Responsible to extending the Oregon football brand through the development and management of social media platforms. Ensure a consistent tone and look across multiple media platforms.
Maintain the constant evolution of digital marketing specifically related to social media to keep the Oregon football program relevant in social spaces for high school football student-athletes.
Implement the Oregon football program’s social media marketing, including but not limited to content strategy, graphic design, brand awareness, digital engagement and public persona.
Develop programing that increases social media following and reach that enhances high school student-athletes engagement.
Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations specifically regarding football recruiting.
Design print and digital materials for Oregon football camps, clinics, recruit visits, signing day and other events as they arise.
Create graphics for internal use for staff, including video, print and electronic. Assignments may include PowerPoint presentations or hard copy team binders.
Hires, trains, supervises, disciplines and provides feedback to one intern and 5-10 student employees.
Update décor within Hatfield Dowlin Complex, including artwork in coaches’ offices and weekly award recognition.
Other duties as assigned by Head Football Coach.
