Wittenberg is a NCAA Division III institution participating in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) and offers a broad-based intercollegiate athletics program with 23 varsity teams and numerous club and intramural opportunities. Annually, Wittenberg places among the top four in the North Coast Athletic Conference All-sports standings.
Wittenberg University is accepting applications for the position of Head Men's Volleyball Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month position. Responsibilities include all aspects of running a Division III volleyball program including, but not limited to:
Candidates must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to interact effectively and appropriately with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, peers, community members, and administrators, possess the skills to evaluate prospects, maintain and ensure student-athlete academic integrity, demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Wittenberg University and Division III and to compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
- Practice and game-day preparation, scheduling, and execution
- Recruitment of student-athletes
- Graduation of student-athletes
- Alumni, community, and parent engagement
- Fiscal management
- Staff and student-worker hiring, training, and supervision
- Service to the Institution as assigned by the Director of Athletics & Recreation
A bachelor's degree is required. Additionally, we require 1-3 years of previous coaching experience, with a preference given to collegiate coaching experience.
