The positions are designed for two years of study, subject to maintaining a 3.0 GPA, at which point the student should have a completed master’s degree. |
Baseball, Field Hockey, Softball, Men’s & Women’s Golf/Game Operations and Women’s Lacrosse: The qualified applicant will assist in all facets of coaching a Division III team. Additional responsibilities are included, but not limited to academic monitoring, recruiting qualified student athletes, and team management. The qualified applicant must be able to work with various campus constituents as well as Alumni and friends of the program. Note: Golf has additional responsibilities that include game operations for the Athletic Department.
Sports Information: The qualified applicants will assist the Sports Information Director in promoting the College’s 20 varsity sports. The full-time positions will involve all aspects of sports information, including but not limited to: writing and disseminating press releases and feature stories, serving as official game statistician for multiple sports, producing print and online multimedia content, managing and contributing to the department’s video broadcasting service, and updating the school’s athletics website (GoValiants.com) as well as various social media outlets. A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field is preferred. There are two sports information positions available.
Athletic Training: The qualified applicant will assist the Head and Assistant Trainer in all aspects of the Sports Medicine Program. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with physician and allied health clinics, assist with evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses, assist with practice and game coverage and assist with insurance claims. Candidate must be NATABOC certified, CPR and AED certified and eligible for New York State licensure.
