A bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s degree is very strongly preferred (in a discipline or professional area represented at WBU). The attainment of a doctorate or terminal degree will be highly valued. Eight to ten (8-10) years or more of successful fundraising experience is preferred with two (2) years at a senior administrative level with successful experience in the areas of supervision of employees, budgetary oversight, strategic planning and accountability. Experience in human relations and leadership is essential as well as being a practicing Christian (preferably Baptist or similar faith heritage). Senior level administrative experience in a college/university is preferred.
