Cornell University invites applications for the 10-months per year position of Assistant Sailing Coach. Assist the head coach in the planning and operation of all facets of the Cornell sailing program, including the Women's Varsity and Coed sailing programs. Assist with practice and regattas; preparations as assigned; evaluate performances, make recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation in events. Identify, encourage and evaluate application of student-athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies. Extensive weekend travel to regatta and recruiting events. Perform home regatta management. Assist with budget oversight. Credentials should reflect proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting and in working with student-athletes.

Bachelor's degree with up to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination.
Knowledge of NCAA and ICSA rules. Prior coaching or competitive experience in the ICSA strongly preferred.
Knowledge of the racing rules of sailing, sailing instruction, fleet management, fund-raising.
Demonstrated advanced sailboat racing skills. US Sailing Level 2 certification or equivalent preferred.
Credentials should reflect proven success or potential in coaching, recruiting and in working with student-athletes.
This position requires a clean, valid unrestricted driver's license that has been in effect for at least three years.
Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated high ethical standards in all aspects of professional career.
