Education and Experience:
Master's degree is required, preferably in Counseling, Education or Sports Administration
A minimum of two years' full-time work experience academically advising student-athletes.
Experience with the sports of football/men’s basketball or women’s basketball is preferred.
Experience and understanding of NCAA.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills due to interactions with students, families, faculty, coaches, and other university staff.
Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.
Candidate must possess strong problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and student needs.
Must also be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
Knowledge of Gradesfirst system is preferred. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
