The University of Wyoming Intercollegiate Athletics Business Office announces the opening of the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Management. This position will report to the Sr. Associate AD/Business Operations. Duties include but are not limited to the preparation/reconciliation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial/budgetary reports and associated analysis, compilation of data for a variety of compliance related federal, Mountain West Conference and NCAA reports, oversight of year end accounting/annual NCAA external audit, supervision,/guidance of 12 support staff positions and ability to plan, organize and effectively manage time in order to meet ongoing project deadlines. Qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business administration
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Job related experience in a financially focused business office setting
MBA or CPA
4 years of applicable work experience in a related field
Experience in budget operation/budget development/budget analysis
Knowledge of/or previous experience with an intercollegiate athletic organization
Knowledge/experience with Oracle, Peoplesoft and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP software
Previous supervisory experience
Non-profit accounting experience
Demonstrated understanding of reconciliation between multiple financial systems
Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills
High level knowledge of computers and software programs
