Controller (Full Time). [Position #731] The Thomas Jefferson Foundation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Controller. This position reports to the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, supervises a staff of five, and serves as a key member of the senior management team. The position directs accounting department functions including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, endowment and investment accounting, and grants administration and is responsible for accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules. Other duties include the direction of the annual financial statement audit, preparation of IRS forms 990 and 990-T, coordination and distribution of the annual operating budget, and preparation of financial models and analyses. The Controller also ensures the maintenance of processes and procedures which ensure strong internal controls and has responsibility for general ledger structure and the optimization of financial software.
