Ronald McDonald House Charities® Southern & Central Alberta is currently recruiting for:
Corporate Relations Manager
About Ronald McDonald House Charities® Southern & Central Alberta (RMHCSCA)
Our mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children and their families. Our chapter is part of a worldwide network of 360 houses. RMHCSCA operates two of 15 in Canada. Together, we serve more than half of all families with the most critically sick or injured children in Canada. Our chapter was established in 1985 and has worked with over 21,000 families since. We keep families close.
Our Ronald McDonald Houses in Southern and Central Alberta offer a home away from home for out-of-town families with children receiving medical care at a Calgary or Red Deer hospital. Our two Houses provide a warm, compassionate and comfortable environment where families can share experiences, eat a warm homemade meal, and rest while caring for a sick child. Offering 23 private family suites in Calgary and 11 in Red Deer, the Houses also feature communal kitchens, home-style living rooms, free laundry facilities, play areas and programming for all ages facilitated by our Family Services team. Further, our two Care Mobiles, state of the art mobile clinics, provide free medical, dental and health education services to underserved families in east Calgary and Siksika Nation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Development and working from our Calgary House, the Corporate Relations Manager will advance the mission by working with corporate partners. As part of a growing development team that will support organizational expansion in the future, this role is instrumental to the success of the House by building long-lasting and meaningful relationships with corporate groups that support the House through event sponsorship and participation, operational sponsorships, employee fundraising, and cash or in-kind donations. The incumbent also leads all our work with McDonald’s, our founding and forever partner, who donated 15% of our total revenues last year.
We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of securing corporate partners; a strong relationship manager; a passion for work with critically ill children; a self-starter and an ambitious fundraiser. The successful candidate will be a talented professional that will creatively engage donors and prospects to ensure mutual benefit.
The Corporate Relations Manager position is a full-time, permanent role. It will occasionally require work on evenings and weekends. There will be regular travel to the Red Deer House and throughout Central and Southern Alberta.
