Position Title: Development Director Department: Development
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Oversee development and fundraising budget and fundraising operations
Design and implement a comprehensive strategy to increase giving for all areas of fundraising, including annual giving, major and planned giving, and capital campaigns.
Develop strategies for identifying, cultivating, and stewarding prospective donors (i.e. individuals, corporations, foundations, government, and alumni).
Develop planning, and managing a variety of fundraising and cultivation events.
Oversee the creation of solicitation and marketing materials to communicate fundraising needs.
Direct long-term systematic fundraising plan that will sustain and increase fundraising totals annually and in accordance with established priorities.
Engage and involve the Tuacahn Board, CEO, Artistic Director and THS Principal in the cultivation and solicitation of prospective donors
Supervise and direct fundraising staff and those who volunteer or assist.
Ensure that all donors are appreciated, well-informed, and acknowledged in meaningful ways throughout the year.
Demonstrate constructive working relationships with key decision-makers, community leaders, government officials, etc.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree plus 2 or more years of related experience required minimum of 5 years' experience preferred. An energetic, dynamic leader with a proven ability to build and enhance relationships. A strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are essential, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills.
