The Board of Directors of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) seeks a new dynamic President and Chief Executive Officer. Founded in 2000, PFF's mission is to mobilize people and resources to provide access to high quality care and lead research for a cure so people with pulmonary fibrosis will live longer, healthier lives. PFF has developed essential programs for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
As the only significant U.S. advocacy organization for PF patients, the PFF has encountered significant growth as revenue has more than doubled the last five years. PFF has greater aspirations and has developed a new five-year strategic plan with ambition to grow revenues over 140 percent. Key priorities include strengthening PFF's Care Center Network, expanding its robust patient registry, a critical research tool, creating a therapeutics network to facilitate drug development, raising awareness of this rare disease that kills 40,000 a year, and finding the resources to make everything happen. PFF benefits from a strong staff and an engaged Board of Trustees that consist of talented individuals with a direct connection to the disease.
The PFF seeks a leader of vision, intellectual breadth, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years in senior management and be an experienced, strategic and credible leader with an enthusiastic commitment to the history, mission and potential impact of the PFF. The successful candidate will have the ability to partner with a wide range of stakeholders including Board members, staff, the scientific and medical community, patients and families, and other constituents. The new President and CEO will need to be willing to travel extensively to represent the organization and to fundraise. Individuals from health-related non-profit organizations, life science and contract research organizations, and other industries will be considered.
