Director of Leisure Sales directs and manages all individual Leisure and Corporate Business(transient) segments maximizes revenue and profit while providing the guest/client with the highest level of quality service. Monitors all OTA, wholesale, and leisure accounts status regularly and partner with the Revenue Manager and DOSM to adjust strategies as appropriate. Manages his/her own market, conducts sales calls, actively participates in key trade shows, sales presentations, client meetings as required. Maintains strong relationships with top travel trade partners in the leisure, wholesale, Consortia and corporate transient arena (Amex, FHR, Virtuoso, Signature….) as well as key decision makers keeping the Don CeSar and Beach House Suites (BHS) top of mind. Maintains a high level of competition product knowledge and market intelligence.
Directs the identification, sales efforts, and relationships with individual travel producers including travel management accounts, retail travel agents, consortiums, and wholesalers. Ensures the property's inclusion into the appropriate national and international accounts through tour wholesale operations, retail travel agencies & advisors, consortiums, and appropriate airline operation accounts (such as private jet). Ensures accuracy of leisure sales reporting and goal setting, assists Revenue Management with leisure financial projections, and reviews sales and guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2-4 years sales experience, hotel experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts
Proactive sales approach, assertive and fast paced, driven to succeed
Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members
Strong computer skills including Microsoft suites
Understanding of market segment, competitors strengths, weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
Ability to travel to tradeshows, client sales calls and or events frequently
