Ursuline Academy of New Orleans seeks a Director of Development. The Director of Development reports directly to the President and is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a comprehensive development program including fundraising, major gifts, annual giving, and constituent relations. The Director of Development works closely with the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees as well as other volunteer groups such as parents and alumnae. The Director of Development builds and maintains relationships with donors, staff, and volunteers.
The Director of Development serves on the administrative management team of the Academy and works closely with the heads of other departments within Ursuline Academy to promote awareness and understanding of the institution; to secure appropriate funding for ongoing programs, capital projects and endowment; and to ensure that the institution serves the appropriate publics it is intended to serve.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of development experience as well as experience working with women philanthropists. The Director of Development serves as supervisor to other advancement positions and must possess knowledge of fundraising database management software. The Director of Development must have a passion for being part of the school community and be able to articulate Ursuline’s mission and vision internally and externally. The Director of Development must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate a vision for Advancement activities, and manage multiple tasks at once. The Director of Development must serve with integrity, energy, warmth, and a sense of humor.
