Embry-Riddle University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for (1) intern for the 2019-20 academic year. This is an excellent position that will allow you to gain practical knowledge by assisting with and implementing programs for designated sports teams under the guidance of the head strength coach. Embry-Riddle Athletics boasts 20 intercollegiate sports teams and approximately 450 athletes. We are members of NCAA Division II and the Sunshine State Conference.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and must obtain or be pursuing a relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCa, SCCC; USAW and CPR/FIRST AID/ AED.
REQUIREMENTS: Individuals must be highly motivated, have a strong interest in pursuing a career in strength and conditioning, possess great communication skills, and have the ability to be punctual, pro-active and take initiative when needed.
COMPENSATION: Compensation will be at a rate of $1,450 per month to offset living expenses during this 10-month internship. Total compensation: $14,500. In addition, this internship provides a University meal plan. The start date will be July 22, 2019. The internship will end in late May after post-season play concludes. There will be time off during the month of December. Housing and health insurance are NOT included.
