The Intercollegiate Athletics Department at Purdue University is seeking qualified applicants for (1) full-time, 12-month Graduate Manager for Women’s Basketball. This is an administrative position.
Duties: Assist with recruiting reimbursement paperwork; Competent with recruiting databases (Enter & update information in a timely manner, Use this for current players on roster as well); Supervise & assist with the recruiting & alumni mailings (creates the mail merges); Assist with organizing of meals after games; Prepares recruiting itineraries/recruiting info sheets for visit dates & distribute (with information provided by Assistant Coaches)
Bachelor's degree and admission to a Purdue University graduate program
Strong organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines
Evening and weekend hours required
The individual shall be a full-time graduate student (see Bylaws 14.2.2 and 126.96.36.199.4), except that during his or her final semester or quarter of a degree program, he or she may be enrolled in less than a full-time program of studies, provided he or she is carrying (for credit) the courses necessary to complete the degree requirements;
The individual shall not provide instruction to student-athletes;
The individual shall not participate in countable athletically related activities (e.g., practice player) except as permitted in Bylaw 11.01.7-(b).
Compensation & Tuition Waivers:
Stipend $1,952 per month (this does not include tuition)
This is a two-year assignment and includes a monthly stipend (with paid vacation/sick leave) and with full waiver of tuition, the general service fee, and the technology fee. Please note the tuition and fee waiver does not include the differential fee and the repair & rehabilitation fee. Start date will be early summer 2019.
Preference will be given to applicants interested in a career in intercollegiate athletics administration upon completion of graduate program.
