Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a part-time, year-round Assistant Field Hockey Coach. The part-time assistant coach is responsible for helping student-athletes become the best versions of themselves both on and off the field. The assistant coach is responsible for participating in the supervision and direction of all aspects of the team. This individual will assist in the recruitment of high quality student-athletes, develop the student-athletes, plan and run practices, scout opposing teams, breakdown game film, and monitor academic progress of student-athletes. In addition, the assistant coach must become familiar with, adhere to, and enforce all the policies and procedures of the Athletic Department and Saint Anselm College, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA, NE-10, and any other authorities that affect the intercollegiate athletic program. Specific areas of responsibility will be assigned by the head coach.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree plus collegiate playing experience. The successful candidate will have strong technical and tactical skills in field hockey, a general understanding of college athletics programs and excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for helping young women grow individually and as a team, as well as a desire to someday be a head coach candidate.
