POSITION: Full time Manager of Community Philanthropy
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday
JOB SUMMARY: Working within a team of fundraising professionals, the Manager of Community Philanthropy will play a key role in helping to grow the fund development program and enhancing integrated fundraising strategies for GRH Foundation. This position will take a lead role in donor identification and strategic cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and prospects in the highest giving range of $25,000 and more.
The Manager of Community Philanthropy (MCP) is a highly experienced fundraising professional with proven expertise in closing major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. Further, this position will coach and support GRHF staff in building a culture of donor engagement and major gift pipeline development.
• University degree in related field required • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) accreditation is an asset • Minimum of 7 years’ experience with demonstrated responsibility for closing major gifts, achieving fundraising goals, and designing and executing fundraising activities • Knowledge of the KW community is critical. • Exceptional fundraising and interpersonal communication skills • Strong business writing skills • Strong project skills • Strong financial analysis skills • Demonstrated knowledge of Raiser’s Edge fundraising software • Demonstrated knowledge of volunteer management best practices • Demonstrated knowledge of not-for-profit governance practices • Excellent problem solving ability • Results-orientation, creativity and excellent work ethic is required • A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required • Willingness to work evening and weekends.
