Essential Functions – Coach and administrate all aspects of the track and field program. Evaluate and recruit student-athletes for the track and field program. Work within policy guidelines and regulations of the Hutchinson Community College Athletic Department, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, and the NJCAA. Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position. Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
Secondary – Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Successful background in coaching track and field preferred.
Successful management of budgets.
Successful background in the recruitment process of student athletes preferred.
The ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, media and the general public.
Physical requirements include excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to understand words and respond effectively and appropriately. Visual acuity to view a computer terminal. To use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; Moderate outdoor and indoor work environment.
Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.
