Westchester Medical Center announces an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished healthcare fundraising executive to serve as Executive Director for the Westchester Medical Center Foundation (WMC Foundation).
Spanning every adult and pediatric medical specialty, Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) is a 1,700-bed regional medical system serving New York’s Hudson Valley and beyond, encompassing a regional academic medical center, children’s hospital, community hospital, two inpatient behavioral health centers, homecare and numerous outpatient health and related services. Complex services routinely offered at WMC include cardiac, renal and liver transplant, advanced neurosurgery, high risk obstetrics, complex orthopedic/bariatric, trauma, head and neck, oncological and general surgery procedures.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of WMCHealth, the Executive Director will provide leadership to all philanthropic and fundraising efforts for the health system’s Eastern region, which includes Westchester Medical Center (WMC) - the system’s flagship hospital and Level I trauma center, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, MidHudson Regional Hospital and Westchester Behavioral Health. The Executive Director will maintain broad responsibility for the management and operations of the WMC Foundation, leading an integrated and coordinated development effort incorporating major gifts and capital campaigns, as well as corporate relations and planned giving activities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in successfully managing a robust major gift portfolio and hands-on leadership experience building complex fundraising programs with increased performance in an integrated health system or not for profit organization. The position requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, strategic planning and implementation skills. A minimum of 10 years of nonprofit work in comparable fields with five years of experience in staff leadership, fundraising, partnership development and financial management are required; a graduate degree in business or a related field is preferred.
