The Associate Athletic Trainer will work under the medical supervision of the head team physician and is responsible for the day-to-day athletic training services for Football, to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; pre-participation physicals; inventory management of supplies and equipment; maintaining medical records; completing required insurance claims; daily interaction and communication with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and administration; attending team practices and events; supervising assistant athletic trainers and students; and injury prevention programming. Assist the Senior Associate Athletic Trainer for Football with other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited athletic training educational program degree or related field required. Masters degree from an accredited athletic training educational program or related field preferred. Current National Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers, CPR and AED Certification for healthcare workers by an accredited organization, current or eligible State of Maryland Athletic Trainer Licensure. Possess a valid driver’s license.
Three (3) years of experience as certified athletic trainer at a NCAA Division I or professional sport level. One (1) year of supervisory experience. Directly responsible for the performance of assigned staff. Preference working Division I FBS or NFL Football; NHL or NCAA Ice Hockey; or NCAA Lacrosse.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication, organizational, administrative, and teamwork skills. Experience providing health care services for college or professional athletes. Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include some evenings, weekends and holidays.
