The United States Naval Academy Athletic Association seeks and immediate full time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position will report to Associate Athletic Director for Sports Performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Selected individual must be able to prepare a program and teach, demonstrate, and supervise proper techniques for strength, speed, conditioning, and flexibility exercises within the program, while maintaining a safe training environment •Assist in day-to-day operations of the training facilities •Work closely with sport coaches to monitor athlete performance •Assist coaches in recruiting •Collaborate with Athletic Training, Sports Medicine and Dietetics staff regarding rehabilitation and sport performance plans •Enforce our standards, policies, and mission •Maintain all records concerning the student-athletes •Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities •Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum of two years of experience in strength and conditioning at the intercollegiate level or equivalent
Certification by either of the two NCAA recognized strength and conditioning certification organizations: NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa-SCCC. (current & valid)
Preferred Certification is by the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa).
