The University of Arkansas at Little Rock invites nominations and applications for the position of Women’s Golf Head Coach (R97512). The University of Arkansas at Little Rock, part of the University of Arkansas System, is a metropolitan university dedicated to providing excellence in education to a diverse student body and to serving the needs of a vibrant and growing region of the state. The Head Golf Coach is a twelve (12) month position and will be responsible for successful execution in planning, developing and administering all phases of the Women’s Golf coaching and recruiting program. All duties and responsibilities are governed by state, federal and university policy.
The Head Coach will lead a program that competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Sun Belt Conference. The Little Rock Trojans Athletic Department includes 15 sports for men and women. Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics and the Director of Golf, the Women’s Golf Head Coach will manage a Division I Women’s Golf program as Head Coach, in accordance with NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock regulations. Areas of responsibility include training, evaluating and retraining student athletes the proper techniques of golf; responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Women’s Golf program; recruit and evaluate prospective student athletes; responsible for overall management of sports operating and scholarship budget; assist in fundraising activities and be responsible for annual fundraising goals; compliance with all NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and institutional rules; monitor academic progress toward degree; other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or the Director of Golf.
Required Education and/or Experience: A bachelor’s degree with three (3) years golf coaching experience; knowledge of budgeting processes; ability to work nights and weekends with extensive travel; ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Education and/or Experience: Coaching experience preferable at the intercollegiate level; knowledge of NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and University rules.
