The University of Massachusetts Lowell currently seeks an Athletic Facilities Assistant. The Athletic Facilities and Events Operation staff currently oversees the following athletic campus facilities: Costello Athletic Center, Cushing Soccer and Lacrosse Field, Cushing Field Hockey and Track & Field Complex, River View Softball Field, Mahoney Gymnasium, Edward A. LeLacheur Park.
Assist the Assistant Athletics Director for Events and Operations with all services related to the management of multiple athletic facilities and the Event Management of 16 Division I sports: oEnsure all America East Conference and NCAA guidelines are followed oOversee part-time athletic operations staff oAssist in scheduling management for events and practices oSupervise external groups utilizing the facilities for events, etc. oSupervise setup and breakdown of home athletic contests oPrepare facility for external and internal events oAssist internal departments, as directed, with logistical needs for event operations
Assist with oversight of administrative functions within the Athletic Facilities and Event Management office: oAssist with inventory controls for Athletic equipment, computers, keys, etc. oReport facility maintenance issues and facilitate necessary action and/or resolution oEnsure proper condition of all athletic equipment oAttend and participate in weekly staff meetings

All employees must have a full understanding of applicable NCAA rules and participate in compliance workshops and meetings as requested. In the event there is reasonable cause to believe a violation has occurred, employees will report it in a timely manner to the director of athletics or his/her designee.
1-2 years related experience in intercollegiate Athletics
Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills
Experience working effectively in diverse environments
A job offer for this position is contingent upon a satisfactory response to a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check and review
CPR and CLERY certification within first 30 days of employment
Full compliance with all NCAA and conference rules and regulations is required.
