The U.S. Naval Institute seeks a Campaign Coordinator to manage the logistics of our comprehensive campaign, currently in the public phase. This position works closely with the EVP, Development and the Development staff to maintain momentum and ensure the success of the campaign.
The position is based in Annapolis, MD on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy. Participation in our fast-paced environment includes some evening hours to support events. Applicants must be well organized, have excellent interpersonal and writing skills, be creative, and excel at PowerPoint.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement the campaign strategy for the public phase of the campaign
Track and report campaign activity
Tailor proposals and develop presentation materials for donor and prospect engagements
Manage and implement plan for brick and chair naming opportunities
Coordinate the design and development of campaign collateral materials
Continually update the campaign microsite and Foundation portion of organization’s website
Assist with tracking donor prospect pool using Luminate CRM
Help create and execute a campaign donor cultivation and stewardship plan, including e-newsletters
Qualifications and Capabilities
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience in fundraising development and campaigns preferred
Sincere and enthusiastic belief in the mission of the U.S. Naval Institute.
Excellent communication skills including writing, editing and proofreading
Fastidious attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Consistent application of confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
Demonstrated initiative, problem resolution skills, and entrepreneurial approach which also able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and, especially, PowerPoint
