Frostburg State University is seeking a Graduate Assistant in the area of Athletic Communications. The graduate assistant will serve as the primary broadcaster for several sports that will include play-by-play coverage of all 21 Bobcat varsity athletic teams through the department’s web stream. The broadcast GA will help train and work directly with the student work force, conduct preview, pregame and postgame interviews with coaches and student-athletes and develop game notes and gather statistics for broadcasts. The broadcast graduate assistant will also serve as the primary contact for 2-3 sports and will assist with gameday duties such as statistics, writing of game recaps, photography and updating the athletic website. Candidates should possess strong broadcasting skills, knowledge of video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, writing/editing skills, attention to detail and a willingness to work hard and learn. The position is granted 12 credit hours tuition waiver per term and 30 credit hours per 12-month cycle. A $3,000.00 stipend is paid per semester.
