St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach/Assistant Director of the Michael P. O’Brien Athletic and Recreation Center. Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach is responsible for managing all phases of a highly competitive NCAA Division III Cross Country program which includes recruitment of qualified student-athletes; scheduling of contests; administration, organization, and evaluation of all aspects of the program; and adherence to all NCAA Division III, conference and institutional policies and procedures. Assistant Director: Responsibilities include assisting in the management and operation of the on-campus recreation facility.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, excellent organizational and communication skills, current certifications in CPR-FPR and basic first aid, knowledge of general accounting practices and NCAA and CAC rules and regulations. Experience in collegiate coaching is preferred. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
