The Assistant Director of Compliance reports to the Associate Director of Athletics and assists with all administrative aspects of managing a Division I NCAA Compliance Program.
Day-to-day tasks associated with monitoring compliance with NCAA and Patriot League rules and regulations, and educating staff regarding all NCAA and Patriot League rules.
Managing the NCAA Compliance Assistant Software, data entry, squad list management, certification of initial and continuing eligibility, ensuring compliance with NCAA recruiting rules, oversight of playing and practice season regulations, completion of all NCAA and Patriot League required reporting, providing interpretations of NCAA rules to staff, and coordination of all official and unofficial visits.
Work directly with staff, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and student-athletes regarding NCAA compliance in a timely manner.
Performance of all other duties and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Administration.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, plus a minimum of one to two years’ experience with a Division I Athletics Program.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and athletic compliance procedures required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills to relate to a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.
Proficient in computer skills, including the use of the NCAA Compliance Assistant software and Microsoft Office Suite.
